A 29-year-old woman, Emilly Atieno has been arrested for attacking another woman and biting her ear off.
Atieno
bit Esther Chao's ears off during a fight, after Atieno’s husband asked
Chao to fetch him water from a nearby tap at a fee.
The drama started after the Atieno's
husband paid Chao KSh 100 for her services, only for Atieno, who was
away then, to return and find all the jericans are filled with water.
She sought out to find who fetched the water and an argument followed after finding out it was Chao.
During
a court hearing, the prosecution said that Atieno asked Chao to take
back her water claiming that she could have poisoned it. Chao did as she
was asked and even refunded the KSh100 she was paid.
A fight later broke out over the matter. Chao told the court that Atieno
bit off half her ear, besides suffering injures to her stomach. They
were both set free on a KSh20,000 bond.
The case will be mentioned on Monday, January 30.
