How I killed Dr. Abdulrahman and sold his corpse to a rich man in Ogun State for N400,000 – Hameed

Hammed Jamiu, a suspect, arrested for allegedly abducting and killing Dr. Tunde Abdulrahman, a medical doctor, who worked at the Omu-Aran General Hospital in Irepodun, Kwara State, has confessed that he personally shot the medical doctor and sold his corpse to a rich man in Ogun State.
Sometime in July 2016, Dr. Abdulrahman was abducted by three armed men who stormed his father’s house located in Tanke area of Ilorin, and took him away in his own car, a Toyota Corolla saloon car.
The kidnappers did not contact the doctor’s family to demand for any ransom since his kidnap which made them believe he had been killed.
The Department of State Services (DSS) after tracking Hammed’s line to the home of Dr. Abdulrahman’s family security guard, Mr. Mohammed Jamiu, discovered that Hammed who was an ex-convict is the son of their long-time security guard at their family house in Oke-Ose area of Kwara State.
After committing the crime, Hammed fled to Sokoto State where he hid for 4 months before returning in November 2016.
As he returned, he was tracked down to his hideout somewhere in Omu-Aran, Kwara State where he was arrested by the operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
According to the suspect, he had to shoot Dr. Abdulrahman because he saw his face and called him by name.
The doctor’s dead body was however not recovered as the suspect eventually confessed that he sold it to a rich man who resides in Shagamu area of Ogun State for N400,000.
According to Hammed, he said that; “The rich man was the one who bought his corpse for N400,00.”
The police however stated that investigation revealed that the suspect had no such dealing with the undisclosed rich man.
The police also added that Hammed took them to a forest in Kwara State, where he showed them some buried bones he claimed were Dr. Abdulrahman’s.
Test and investigation however revealed that the bones were that of a cow and not even a human.
Eventually, Hammed again took the police to somewhere in Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State, where a 24 years old car snatcher was arrested, but the police said that the car snatcher had no link with the Doctor’s kidnapping.
While speaking, Hammed said that his two friends Dayo and Yemi who he met in the prison lured him into kidnapping.
“I started crime as a car snatcher” he started.
He confessed that he stole several cars from Kwara and Oyo State, but was arrested in 2015 and sent to prison where he spent more than a year.
“That was where I met my friends, Yemi and Dayo. When we were released and had nothing to do, Dayo suggested that we should go into kidnapping and I suggested we should kidnap the son of my father’s boss, who is a medical doctor.
“They brought the guns we used in abduction. We took him out in his car and we drove him into a forest by Oke-Olowo and we had an argument and Abdulrahman saw my face after I pulled off my mask. He called me by name.
“He threatened to deal with me when he was released and I shot him. He didn’t die instantly, we took him to a spot within the forest and dumped him. I took his car away and I sold it to one Alhaji for N280,000.”
