Anambra APC: Between UBA and Nwoye

AFTER months of dithering procrastination, Senator Andy Uba on Wednesday formally defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, with an apparent determination to again contest the forthcoming governorship contest in Anambra State. The gist is that Uba is likely to pair former Senator Uche Ekwunife in the bid to challenge Governor Obiano for the governorship of the state.

But his bid is bound to be challenged by the by a former associate of his, Dr. Tony Nwoye, a member of the House of Representatives who is also bidding to contest for the ticket of the APC. Nwoye was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2012 governorship election. He has since upgraded himself with his qualification as a medical doctor and ascension to the House of Representatives.
