The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the Department of State Service (DSS) permission to detain businessman, Ifeanyi Ubah for 14 more days.
The decision was given by presiding judge, Justice Yusuf Haliluon Thursday, May 25.
Justice Halilu reached the decision after an ex-parte application was made by DSS lawyer, Mr. G.O.A. Agbadua to that effect.
The DSS made a fresh application for Ubah’s continued detention because the previous court order it obtained on May 10 expired on Wednesday, May 24.
Meanwhile, the Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the DSS to release Ubah within 48 hours.
This judgment was given by Justice Mohammed Idris, also on Thursday.
Ubah was arrested by the DSS on May 5 for allegedly diverting about 80 million litres of petrol which is worth N11 billion.
